This vividly painted Buddha statue stands out with its warm terracotta-red skin tone, offset by a deep brown robe worked in fine swirling cloud-motif engraving and accented with turquoise and gold. Cast in brass, the figure sits in dhyana mudra with both hands resting in the lap cradling a small turquoise alms bowl, the robe draped over one shoulder and trimmed in bright gold at the collar and hem. A turquoise phoenix or bird motif curls down the front of the robe, echoed by matching turquoise wave details at the base, while gold bands wrap the upper arm and ankle for added richness. The face carries a calm, downcast expression with turquoise-lined ear ornaments and a tiered ushnisha topped with a small finial. The figure sits on a wide, gently scalloped base finished in the same brown, red, gold, and turquoise palette. This boldly coloured piece brings a distinctive, folk-art character to devotional or decor settings.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.

Please note that as all the products are handmade, slight variation in carvings, dimensions, and weight is normal. Variations of +/- 0.1-1 inches in dimensions and +/- 0.1-2 kgs in weight can be expected in some cases.
