Introduce an ultimate statement of traditional Indian architectural luxury to your space with the magnificent Ornate Brass Hanging Shankh & Chakra Lamp Pair. Masterfully sculpted from solid, high-grade brass, this sacred pair of hanging oil lamps (diyas) beautifully showcases robust artisan sand-casting techniques combined with highly detailed heritage iconography. As clearly captured in the pictures, the design elevates your sanctuary by featuring the sacred emblems of Lord Vishnu—the Shankh (Conch) on one lamp and the Chakra (Divine Wheel) on the matching counterpart—transforming any entryway, altar boundary, or architectural threshold into a palatial focal point.

  • The Sacred Vaishnava Crests: The crown of each lamp is adorned with a meticulously chiseled sacred motif. One lamp displays the beautifully spiraled Shankh  while its partner features the radiant Sudarshana Chakra. Both emblems are flanked by stylized decorative flames (Namam accents), and their upper frames loop seamlessly into heavy-duty, solid brass suspension chains.

  • The Multi-Spout Ritual Diya: Directly beneath the sacred pedestal rests a deep, circular oil pool basin. It is embellished with fine concentric geometric etchings and terminates in defined, flared projecting spouts meticulously crafted to cradle cotton wicks (jyot), providing a steady, serene, and multi-directional glow.

  • The Engraved Ritual Bell: Suspended from a sturdy lower loop under the diya tier is a beautifully proportioned, classical temple bell. Adorned with delicate band-engraved patterns, the bell houses an internal clapper that delivers a clear, resonant metallic chime to cleanse the surrounding atmosphere during prayers.

True to classical vernacular aesthetics, the entire solid brass body of each lamp is treated with a luxurious, warm golden polish that highlights the meticulous chiseled reliefs and deep texturing.

Heritage Craftsmanship & Design Placement

  • Pooja Room & Sanctuary Thresholds: Measuring a highly versatile 25 inches in total hanging length, this solid brass lamp pair functions flawlessly when suspended symmetrically on the left and right sides of a home altar, deity mandir, or puja room entrance bay.

  • Entry Portals & Formal Living Rooms: This statement hardware set is exceptionally suited to frame the main threshold of a traditional home. Suspend them from structural wooden corbels, entryway arches, or climate-controlled veranda beams to greet incoming guests with classical warmth and spiritual prestige.

  • Design & Vastu Significance: The Shankh and Chakra are timeless traditional symbols representing the preservation of cosmic order, peace, and ultimate protection. In traditional Vastu Shastra, hanging sacred multi-wick oil lamps with these divine emblems in the East, North, or Northeast zones helps dispel stagnant environmental frequencies, filters ambient stress, and draws vibrant waves of prosperity and harmony into the household.

Care & Maintenance

  • Routine Dusting: Dust the ornate textured surfaces, crest emblems, and lower bell grooves using a completely dry, soft microfiber cloth or a soft long-bristle brush.

  • Deep Cleaning: To remove residual oil, ghee, or soot buildup from the diya basins, gently wash using warm water mixed with a mild dish soap, then dry immediately with a soft towel. To maintain its premium luster over time, occasionally wipe with a soft cloth lightly treated with a specialized brass cleaner paste or natural lemon-tamarind mixture. Let's make sure to avoid harsh chemical industrial cleaners, steel wool, or abrasive wire brushes to preserve the hand-finished gold sheen and prevent surface scratching.

  • Environment: Built exclusively for indoor styling or covered, dry outdoor placement. Shield from continuous moisture exposure or heavy direct rainwater to safeguard the factory-applied protective finish against premature tarnish or oxidization.
