This radiant gold Buddha statue is set against a tall, pointed aureole densely carved with scrolling foliate patterns along its border, framing the seated figure in temple-grade detail. Cast in brass, the Buddha sits with the right hand raised in vitarka mudra and the left hand cradling a small vessel in the lap, the bare gold chest and face catching the light against the surrounding stonework. A checkerboard-patterned turquoise and mirror-inlay robe covers one shoulder, bordered by a striped red-and-white halo band that traces the inner curve of the aureole behind the head. The cushioned seat is thickly set with rows of coral-red and turquoise cabochons in gold bezel settings, giving the base real textural richness. The figure sits atop a tiered lotus petal plinth, its rim scattered with small turquoise and lapis accent stones. This elaborately detailed piece brings temple-scale presence to a tabletop size, equally striking from the front or the smooth radiating gold reverse of the aureole.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
