This compact Buddha statue is finished in a soft dusty-rose wash over a dark oxidized base, giving every carved surface a gentle, weathered warmth. Cast in brass, the figure sits with the right hand raised in vitarka mudra, the teaching gesture, while the left hand rests in the lap holding a small covered vessel. The robe drapes over one shoulder and is finely engraved with small floral medallions and scrollwork, the rose-toned highlighting picking out each detail against the darker ground beneath. The face carries a calm, composed expression beneath a tall pointed ushnisha, with elongated earlobes and a softly ridged brow. The figure sits on a rounded cushion base, its surface carved with small floral rosettes, all resting atop a tiered oval plinth banded with a row of tiny lotus petals at the rim. This delicately finished, compact piece brings quiet warmth to any devotional or decor setting.

Care Instructions

Clean only with a soft, dry cloth to maintain the natural shine. Avoid water, harsh chemicals, or detergents, as these can damage the brass finish.

Brass is a natural metal and may tarnish or darken slightly over time when exposed to air and moisture - this is a normal characteristic of brass and not a manufacturing defect. To restore shine, use a brass polish or a mild solution of lemon and salt, gently rub with a soft cloth, then wipe dry with a clean cloth.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and humidity to help prevent tarnishing.
