This richly hand-painted Ganesha statue is carved from vagai wood in a warm burnt-orange tone, deepened with red shading and accented in green and gold across the crown, jewelry, and robe. The figure sits in a relaxed pose, both upper hands raised holding a pair of small urn-shaped vessels, while the lower hands rest near the chest, one cradling a round object. The trunk curves gracefully to one side beneath a tiered crown banded in teal and gold, with large fan-shaped ears and a beaded collar framing the face. Layered beaded necklaces and a wide gold-edged sash cross the chest and torso, their fine linework picked out clearly against the warm orange-red skin tone. Ganesha sits within a carved lotus pot seat flanked by striped bolster cushions in green and gold, with his vahana, the mouse, carved resting at the base nearby alongside a painted modak offering. The whole figure rests on a tiered rectangular pedestal finished with a wave pattern, a scalloped skirt border, and a central lotus medallion in red and gold. This warmly toned, richly detailed piece makes a striking centerpiece for a home temple, entryway, or devotional display.
